Plain version: this site collects as little as it can, sells nothing to anyone, and will delete what it holds if you ask.

Who is responsible for your data
Axtraxia is a sole trader business run by Collins Edem Gidisu, based in Ireland, and is the data controller for studyinireland.axtraxia.ie. For questions or requests, email [email protected]. A real person reads it.
Reading the guides
Nothing is needed from you. The web server keeps standard access logs: your IP address, the pages requested, the time, and your browser. That is how the hosting works and how problems get diagnosed. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure.
Visits are also counted by Jetpack Stats, run by Automattic, which sets no cookies for visitors.
Google Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics runs in Google’s Consent Mode. Until you say yes, and if you say no, it sets no cookies and sends Google only a cookie-free signal that a page was viewed. Like any web request, that signal includes your IP address. It is sent on the basis of legitimate interest in knowing which guides are useful.
Say yes and Google Analytics may also set cookies, which let it recognise repeat visits. Advertising features are switched off whatever you choose. The site sets one small cookie of its own to remember your answer.
My Travel Roadmap accounts
The roadmap is offline for now. Accounts created while it ran are still held, used only internally by Axtraxia, and have never been shared with colleges or anyone else. An account holds:
- Account details: email address, name, country, phone number if given, and a securely hashed password.
- Assessment answers: study level, timeline, education and goals, and the scores and gaps worked out from them.
- Technical details from the assessment: device type, browser, the page you came from, IP address, and how long it took.
- Consultation requests: preferred contact method, intended intake, any notes you added, and the adviser’s notes and outcome afterwards.
- Email records: which roadmap and account emails were sent, and whether they were opened or clicked.
- An activity log of logins and saves, with IP address and browser, kept for security.
Legal basis: providing the service you signed up for and, for consultations, steps you asked for before any agreement.
How long: until the roadmap is rebuilt, and in any case all of this is deleted by 17 October 2027 at the latest. Ask at [email protected] and your account and everything linked to it is deleted sooner.
Applying to a university through Axtraxia
If you choose to apply through Axtraxia, you send us what a university application needs so we can check it and help you submit it. That usually includes:
- Your name, contact details, nationality and date of birth.
- Your passport details.
- Transcripts, degree certificates and English test results.
- Your CV, personal statement and reference letters.
- The courses and universities you are interested in, and any offers you receive.
You can send these by email, by WhatsApp, or through a shared upload folder we give you, or you can upload them only to the university’s own portal while we guide you.
Who sees it: the universities you decide to apply to, because that is the point of the application. Nothing is sent to a university you have not chosen. When you enrol, the university confirms your enrolment to Axtraxia, because that is how we are paid: the university pays a commission and you pay nothing.
Legal basis: steps you have asked us to take on your behalf, and our legitimate interest in being paid the commission for a completed enrolment.
How long: application documents are deleted 12 months after the intake you applied for, or sooner if you stop. The basic record of an enrolment (your name, the course, the university and the commission) is kept for six years, because tax law requires financial records to be kept that long.
Career plans
Payment is handled by Stripe, and your card details never reach this site. Stripe shares your name, email address and what you bought so the plan can be delivered. The plan itself is delivered over WhatsApp or email, whichever you prefer, so WhatsApp (run by Meta) carries those messages if you choose it.
Legal basis: performing the contract you entered by buying the plan.
Third parties involved
- The hosting provider, who runs the server and holds the access logs.
- Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site to serve it quickly and absorb attacks.
- Google, through Google Analytics, as described above.
- Automattic, through Jetpack, for visit statistics, login protection and site backups.
- Stripe, if you buy a career plan.
- Meta, through WhatsApp, only if you choose to be contacted or send documents that way.
- MailerLite, if and only if you sign up for emails.
- Microsoft 365, which carries the email if you get in touch or send documents by email.
- The universities you apply to, if you apply through Axtraxia, as described above.
Some of these process data outside the EU, under the safeguards each provider puts in place for that.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask to see what is held about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is used, receive it in a portable format, or withdraw consent you gave. Email [email protected] and it will be actioned within one month, usually much faster. There is no form and no fee.
You can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
